For 15 years I have led and supported in the delivery of (research) projects across SSA to achieve responsible for both impact and client satisfaction.
What is your new role at Wasafiri?
Broadly my role is to lead and support the successful implementation of complex projects and building the capacity of cross-cultural staff teams across EA. Specifically, this includes; providing overall operation, risk and financial support to a portfolio of projects and ensure donor compliance with operational, risk and financial processes. In terms of corporate-level responsibilities, it involves guardianship of the East African office’s health, safety and security (HS&S) policies and procedures and ensures compliance with major donors and clients funding Wasafiri work.
What are you looking forward to doing working at Wasafiri the most?
At micro level – implementing a coherent project delivery strategy, including improvements to efficiency, and processes as we scale as well as successfully overseeing and delivering projects, ensuring we deliver true impact and value to stakeholders, shareholders, staff, consultants & clients. At the macro level – contributing to the overall ambition to create a more peaceful, equitable and sustainable world.
